From tulle skirts to tracksuits

The Giambattista Valli x H&M collection, which has been launched after long months of preparation, is dominated by romance with punk elements. There was no shortage of luxury models rich with tulle skirts and tender flowers at the ceremonial introduction of the collection in the Martinic Palace, but wild animal patterns or tracksuits were also present! Of course, Czech celebrities didn't want to miss the presentation. We took a closer look at their outfits and, believe it or not, it turns out that even a fashion icon or a stylist make a huge misstep sometimes.

Sexy beast Monika Marešová

A leather skirt combined with a leopard top, a fur coat and black pointed ankle boots? That's a total jaw-dropper! Recalling the outfits Monika Marešová used to wear a few years back, we are all astonishment at the enormous progress she has made. She rightfully belongs to contemporary fashion icons.

Nikol Švantnerová: Drowned in red tulle

We have already admired the long tulle dress on Kendall Jenner and we admire it just the same on model Nikol Švantnerová. A V-neckline, draped sleeves and less material on the front of the dress makes the model incredibly sexy, and you can be sure it will make you a star of every party. Well done, Giambattista Valli and H&M!

Natálie Kotková bet on the divine Kubíčková

Model and influencer Natálie Kotková was probably the only one to donne a model from another designer. The luxurious mini dress by Zuzana Kubíčková adorned with sequins and tulle is absolutely flawless and Natálie was one of the best dressed stars of the evening. WOW!

Mischievous Renata Langmannová in lace

Renata Langamannová is a likeable person through and through; she lights up every outfit she chooses to wear with her disarming smile. We praise the choice of lipstick, which perfectly matches the stylish footwear and the subtle romantic lace Giambattista Valli x H&M dress.

Zorka Hejdová: A lethal combination!

Much like Monika Marešová, Zorka Hejdová wore a black leather skirt from Giambattista Valli and H&M, but she completed it with black fashion boots and, lo and behold, a disaster was born! The combination of a mini skirt and fashion boots is generally not a good idea, and it definitely did Zorka a disservice. The model looks too obvious and even the men's jacket with a tiger pattern couldn't save it.

Mariana Prachařová: A complete misstep

Actress and influencer Mariana Prachařová is no gazelle and she seems to be going to great lengths to make herself look even smaller than she really is. She kept her feet firmly on the ground when choosing footwear and decided for Martens, which, next to all the stilettos, stood out like a sore thumb - pity.

Filip Vaněk: A stylist is looking for a stylist

Do you remember the legendary episode of Friends in which Joey was supposed to play a 19-year-old? That must be what the stylist Filip Vaněk was going for, when he choose to wear an embarassing outfit composed of cargo pants, a sweatshirt with beads and an orange cap for the launch party. Well, sometimes less is more, and the question offers itself whether the stylist himself shouldn't ask for advice from another stylist, because a little help would have done wonders here...

Dara Rolins: Not good enough even for taking the trash out!

Dara Rolins apparently also wanted to look 20 years younger, donning a men's tracksuit with a leopard pattern and an embroidered coat from Giambattista Valli and H&M. This fashionable hallucination is sure to give you nightmares and we dare to say that we wouldn't wear an oufit like this even when taking the trash out while suffering from a 40-degree fever.

Italians have always had style

The new collection of H&M in collaboration with Giambattista Valli proves it

I love Italy - their historic buildings, pizza, wine and ice cream. But what I love best are stylish Italians. Everyone knows that Italians are crazy about fashion and their products are famous for their top quality. That's why I think the H&M chain definitely pulled a smart move by initiating cooperation with designer Giambattista Valli, because this limited edition is the bomb.

Compared to their last year's cooperation with Moschino, this collection is a sight for sore eyes. Luxury and elegance galore. I am a lady of a certain age, so I wouldn't dare to wear a short sweatshirt with huge red lips on it, except for during a TV night at home. But here I wouldn't know what to wear first.

Thanks to their versatility, the individual models easily adapt to your (read mine) wardrobe.

"I don't create fashion, I create style," says Giambattista Valli. "I want to help people find their own style and feel comfortable. Fashion is too restrictive; when I design, I give people space to express their personality."

I can only agree. It's nice to wear something that looks really expensive and elegant, while feeling comfortable at the same time, without a rubber band cutting your stomach or ankles in half. Apparently, not just me but also our Czech celebrities identify with the timeless idea.

Red glow

The deep red evening dress took my breath away. Yes, it is quite possible that the fact that Nikol Švatnerová was wearing it had something to do with that - after all, she'd look great even in a potato bag. But I still think that any woman would feel like a goddess in the flood of red tulle. Besides, if your legs are as nice as mine or Nikol's, you simply have to appreciate the shorter front part.

The other dresses with floral patterns and prints are quite beautiful, but I feel that flowers have been on the market way too long.

Beasts of prey

But I won't just sing an ode to joy here... I don't like animal patterns. They look kinda cheap to me. However, I give a thumbs up to Zorka Hejdová. Besides the fact that I really like this girl, I think she has the walk. If I wanted to sell something, I'd make her wear it. She can pull off the coat. It feels like Valli made it just for her.

Monika Marešová, on the other hand, seems to have murdered the beast herself. The reason why the outfit looks so terrible to me might actually be Monika herself, not the coat. In my opinion, she should reflect not only her chronological age, but also her apparent age - and unfortunately, this beast of prey is way out of line here.

The shoemaker's children often go barefoot

Filip Vaněk makes a living by telling other people what to wear. His wardrobe reflects all the latest trends. However, he looked like a fairground attraction at this event. He probably didn't know what to wear first either, so he put on everything from the collection at the same time, and the overall impression is that of a bear tamer from a circus. Maybe he should accept a piece of advice every now and then, too...

Anyway, I support H&M. It's nice to add some spice to a boring collection by working with a famous designer once a year.
