Apple is going to market with its latest novelty, the flagship iPhone 7. In keeping with its established schedule, Apple will launch sales of the new iPhone 7 in September 2016. When is the device most likely to see the light of daw? The matching sevens may have played an important role in determining the date, because the iPhone 7 will go on sale in style on 7 September (Wednesday). This is a fairly unconventional step for the company, because it usually introduces its hottest novelties on Tuesday.
We already have a few details. Apple intends to present three iPhones at once, specifically the 7, 7 Plus and 7 Pro models. If we add the iPhone SE that is already selling, we have four new iPhones in 2016.
Other innovations and improvements include:
- water resistance
- new iOS 10 operating system
- new, faster A10 processor
- up to 3 GB of RAM
- luxurious metal body with an edge-to-edge display
- support of multi-touch control using 3D Touch
- no headphone jack (an adapter for standard 3.5 mm headphones is included in the box)
- rear dual camera (only for iPhone 7 Pro).
iPhone 7 designer image
The long-awaited change of design is not going to happen – a disappointment for many, good news for the rest. The image of the iPhone 7 is a sure bet, familiar to the whole world. We will probably have to wait until next year for a major design evolution – Apple will be celebrating 10 years from the launch of the first iPhone.
The main change in the phone’s design is its slim body. The thickness is estimated to drop to 6.5 to 6 mm, which is a visible difference compared to the iPhone 6S, which is 7.1 mm this. Could it be that Apple has succumbed to the latest trend of slimmer proportions?
In many aspects, the new iPhone seems to promise a high-quality luxury device. Its only possible competitors are the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which were launched on the market in March 2016. We’ll see how the new telephone stands and can merely wish it look and let ourselves be surprised.
