La Perle is an artistic and acrobatic laboratory of the future
The most famous attraction of Business Bay is La Perle, a popular standing show in Dubai. La Perle, created by the late Franco Dragone, a legendary theater director who collaborated with Cirque du Soleil, is based in a 10-story custom theater in the V hotel in Al Habtoor city.
Watching world acrobats diving from a height of 25 m and "flying" around the auditorium on highly efficient reels at a speed of up to 15 km/h - it is a sight that you will remember for a long time. The La Perle performance creates a unique experience for every viewer, as the backdrop can be watched by 1300 people at once, however, there are only 14 rows in the auditorium and it is surrounded by a pool at an angle of 270 degrees, which offers a guaranteed good view to all participants. The backstage of the theater located in Al Habtoor City are built around a large swimming pool offering several dynamic water features.
Part of the pool is also covered with a special floor that allows it to be filled or drained instantly. The magnificent production is also called the "artistic and acrobatic laboratory of the future", combining the best of artistic performance, creative shots, and brilliant technology.
The complex also offers facilities such as the Al Habtoor tennis academy and the seasonal Winter Garden, which transforms into a winter wonderland during the cooler months.
A modern architectural building that has won several awards
One of the most remarkable features of Business Bay is the quarter's architecture: just look around and you will see some of the most innovative buildings not only in Dubai, but also in the world. The pinnacle is the award-winning O-14 building. This 22-storey business tower, thanks to its unique design, is also known in translation as "Swiss cheese".
The O-14 building, located in Business Bay, is a building wrapped in a 40 cm thick exoskeleton filled with 1,300 holes. This new unique architectural design, located along the Dubai Canal, a spacious expansion of the historic Dubai Creek bay, has won a number of awards, such as the Emporis Skyscraper Award and the ACEC National Honor Award for Excellence in Engineering Design.
Between the facade and the windows, there is one meter of space, which allows the rise of hot air and the introduction of cold air from below. O-14, designed with an open concept to maximize space perception, also includes an exclusive network of ground floor shops, as well as four levels of underground parking.
A cube with emptiness in the middle
The hotel, designed by the late British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, is one of the last completed projects she worked on. The queen of curves also designed the Bratislava project SKY PARK. During the day, it reflects the sky, the sun, and the surrounding panorama, while at night it is illuminated by LED lights, creating captivating illumination as soon as it gets dark. The entire interior of the hotel is furnished by Zaha Hadid Design. Here too, smooth curved shapes prevail. The Opus has 74 rooms and 19 apartments. The building also houses offices, restaurants, gyms, cafes, and bars.

The spiral shape of the building in the form of the letter Y has an important meaning - it ensures that the weight of the Burj Khalifa is evenly distributed and that it stands firmly in a desert area full of unstable sand and strong wind. The design of the Burj Khalifa was inspired by the desert flower Hymenocallis (spider lily). The view of the skyscraper from above, indeed, resembles the blossoming shapes of this flower. The Burj Khalifa is located in the Downtown Dubai section, which is the most expensive residential area in Dubai. Its unattainability for most of us only confirms what a symbol of luxury it has become in the last decade.
This magnificent building is located right next to the Dubai Mall shopping center and has been attracting visitors from around the world since its opening in 2010. The total height of the Burj Khalifa is 828 meters above sea level, making it the world leader comfortably nearly 200 meters above the Shanghai Tower skyscraper from the Chinese metropolis. The skyscraper has 154 floors (+ 9 reserved for maintenance), and you can be transported to them on one of 57 elevators. Would you like to huff it up to the top on your own? Go ahead, there are 2,909 steps waiting for you, with the final meters having to be made by ladder as there is no other way to reach the roof. This steel-glass giant hides more than 200 floors, where you can find services, dining, accommodation, experiential operation, places for relaxation or romance. Such a micro-world in one building.
Up to 120 workers clean the windows of Burj Khalifa. The entire building is cleaned four times a year, but one cleaning lasts three months. That means that the window cleaners never actually stop and when they finish, they can start all over again. Window washers are attached with ropes and start right at the top. When they finish cleaning the building, they take the elevator back to the top and start all over again.
Did you get hungry? On the 122nd floor of Burj Khalifa is located the highest restaurant in the world. In addition to a beautiful view, a selection of dishes mainly from French cuisine, and a unique mix of traditional and futuristic interior design, you can also expect a rather expensive lunch. Burj Khalifa is so high that you can see the sunset from it twice. Thanks to its height and views, Burj Khalifa is definitely a dream of every BASE jumper.
If you were on the top floor of a building, you would see the sunset for a whole minute longer than from the ground. Around the base of the towering building, you will find a pulsating entertainment and dining center, which houses the Dubai Mall shopping center. It is one of the largest of its kind in the world, where you will find more than 1,200 stores and operations, from the most luxurious to retail and fast foods. In the same area you will also find the Dubai Aquarium, which is home to over 160 underwater species, including sharks and rays. The tallest building in the world is surrounded by a dancing fountain the size of two football fields, which was outdone by the Dubai Palm Fountain as the largest fountain in the world.

The Dubai Canal is a 3.2 km long waterway that stretches from the Dubai Bay in old Dubai through Business Bay to its mouth into the Arabian Gulf. In Business Bay, you will also find great 4-star hotels including the Hollywood hotels Paramount and Paramount Hotel Midtown. These properties take full advantage of their silver screen heritage with themed room design, including suites with original movie-making equipment - and in the Paramount Hotel, an in-house cinema which screens films from the studio's archives. There are slightly fewer three-star hotels in Business Bay - although new properties are regularly opened, but DAMAC Towers Paramount next to the Paramount Hotel offers three-star accommodation in apartments. However, considering Business Bay is close to the center of Dubai and other areas, there are plenty of affordable accommodation options around.
