Iconic Flower Headbands and Pompous Gowns, that is the RODARTE SS19 Collection
Although it initially seemed that the show will have to be cancelled, in the end everything went according to plan. The rain did not spoil the presentation of the luxury Rodarte brand´s designers, on the contrary, it lent it interesting atmosphere. The models were accompanied to the marble cemetery by assistants, who held umbrellas over their heads and gowns.

Luxurious feminine style for extravagant ladies
Already at first glance it is apparent that the luxury Rodarte brand is not suitable for just any woman, but rather for those who have a certain dose of courage. That´s because the dresses are decorated with flowers, ruching, fluffy tulle and other details, which are extravagant at first glance. The SS19 collection reaped a great success in New York.
Romance and drama on the catwalk
Despite the rain the show was a real success. The models walked around a beautiful marble cemetery and entire show combined two diametrically opposed elements; romance and drama. The drama was provided by the environment and rain, romance by pompous, decorated gowns and luxurious hairstyles, embellished by blossoms, inspired by a rose garden. The designers wanted to highlight the individuality of every dress and so for every model a special hairstyle was designed.
Flower headbands, ruching, frills, tulle and other striking details
Founders of the Rodarte brand have, as always, paid painstaking care to the details. Every model wore iconic flower decorations, which lent her a fairy-like look. Just as most of the clothes which look like from a fairy-tale. Beautiful frilly decorations, playful tulle designs which create great decorations around the sleeves or luxurious skirts.
Thanks to the colourful palette of the SS19 collection there was plenty to choose from. There were subtle tones, such as white, powder pink, yellow, pink and others, but also bold floral designs or metallic shades.

Only Madonna is missing now!
I do not know exactly what is happening at the New York Fashion week, but ONCE AGAIN we have a brand here, which considerably took all sorts of stuff over from the middle of the 1980s. There is only one thing missing, and that is a recycled Madonna with a microphone in her hand, singing the top hit of the last century "Like a virgin"! And I lived under the impression that RODARTE is a brand with a bold, original style.
Don´t be afraid, I am not as severe as I may seem. That is why I would like, right to start with, to draw attention to the best dress from the entire range of neon lace and all sorts of underskirts. It is a pure white gown with fine black dots, a V-shaped neckline ending in three beautifully blooming roses. A perfectly-elegant affair which in combination with red flowers in the hair turns every woman into a fragile fairy. A garden party, a cocktail party, a luxurious brunch, a polo event, or a simple dinner for two in the middle of the city, all of these occasions are as if they were designed for these dresses!
And now back to the promised little roasting! A heather-hue lacy dress accompanied by silk bow knots in combination with red high heels. Please, don´t ever go out dressed like this, not even to a Halloween party! The same is true for that black leather dress with maxi frills in the shoulder area. This should simply be left for the set of the film "Look Who´s Talking"...
