A second Hollywood star arrived at the festival in Karlovy Vary. Oscar-winning actor Casey Affleck has come to admire the local film show for the second time. He himself introduced his second directorial act, Light of My Life.
An independent film that is very intimate, produced by himself, he wrote a screenplay and portrayed one of the leading roles. The actor most famous for roles in dramas The Manchester by the Sea, Gone, Baby, Gone, or Ocean's Eleven, can't get enough of this event. He arrived in Karlovy Vary with actress Florian Lima and Anna Pniowsky, who played in the film.
he admitted during the press conference, where he also spoke about his very first role:
“Our kindergarten was named after Rosa Parks, the hero of the civil rights struggle. She once came to visit and we played a theater for her. I played a lion, my costume fell during the performance, but I continued. Rosa then stroked me and praised me for roaring nicely like a lion,” Affleck said.
The actor, who has also directed himself, took over the Crystal Globe from the hands of Jiří Bartoška, President of the Festival, during his last visit. This year he enjoys local hospitality as a guest of honor.
