Thom Brown is famous for his eccentricity and his collections never lack the necessary extravagance. The American fashion designer didn't disappoint with the Fall 2020 collection presented at the Paris Fashion Week either. Once you see it, you'll either be greatly amused, or think that the designer's mental train must have totally derailed. But don't let yourselves be fooled, the show carries a profound message, and if you keep reading, you'll applaud Thom Brown in the end!
You tell me, who would willingly put on a costume of a pig, a giraffe or an elephant? Nobody, unless they're totally nuts... Or perhaps someone who cares about the Earth and wants to draw attention to the fact that it's going downhill with our planet? Although Thomas Brown's message is not entirely obvious at first glance, the entire collection has been inspired by a biblical tale, namely the one of Noah's Ark. The tale tells the story of an escape from a great flood, which was to destroy the corrupt world and thanks to Noah's Ark, a few chosen individuals and representatives of the animal kingdom could be saved. Now that you know the backstory of the collection, you probably see it in a different light, right?!

A cow's horn, a dog's tooth, and a horse's hoof are not to be trusted
To make the collection as authentic as possible, there were hoof-shaped shoes stomping down the catwalk! The designer paired them with luxury tweed ensembles, skirts and blazers, most of which featured stripes, checque or the houndstooth pattern. In terms of colors, the collection is dominated by multiple shades of gray and the blue, white and red trio.

If humanity is to go extinct, I want to die in an outfit by Thom Brown
I like animals and fables. They're the cutest thing ever. The statistics of online videos are a definite proof. Everyone wants to click on a video with a piglet standing on its hind legs or a hedgehog taking a shower. Thom Brown, who sees the world a little differently than the rest of us, sends a tremendously powerful message with his collection. The world is headed for destruction, and so are we. The question is who will survive.
Who wants to be on Noah's Ark? Honestly? I do. And not because I want to help save humanity. I have no illusions left about people. Animals, though, that's a different story.
I'd like to be there because I could be wearing these amazing clothes!

This photo amused me immensely. Apart from the fact that I like the whole package, both the color combination and the material, the cut, the length, the tie, and even those shoes, I naturally found the head pretty funny. I wouldn't wear that on the Ark, just so you know. I'd pack it and send it to my ex. I just hope he'd receive it before the fall of humanity, so that the hidden message would have enough time to make it into his thick head.

Warm and cozy in the autumn
But enough of joking. Let's move on to the important things, such as clothes. I feel that this might be the first autumn collection in which I won't feel cold. Not even with my legs sticking out. One can tell that even though the designer might be a bit eccentric, at least he's practical. I'd even go as far as to claim that the shoes can be worn at a winter hiking trip in the mountains. I find this outfit great, even the color combination is interesting.

You can never get bored of animals
We all wanted to have an elephant or a giraffe at home when we were little. The fact that I long for it until this day is a chapter of its own. These coats are simply amazing. They don't even look childish to me. The short pant legs are wide enough to fit those delightful snowboots. I consider this a great choice for work as well as non-demanding outdoor activities.
