Many buildings were built, and many have been flattened. Some underwent renovation, others disappeared in redevelopment, some simply became unwanted or inappropriate. In many places new houses arose, completely different, with other purpose, or mission. And not only houses, but also bridges, roads, tunnels. All of this makes up the appearance of a town. Through architecture, cities gain character, their own form, and according to the overall success of the result, the inhabitants feel well or less so.
