Heavenly Bodies at MET: The Opening of the Exhibition Has Not Been Missed by even the Greatest Stars!
A unique exhibition which leads a dialogue between fashion and medieval art
The Metropolitan Museum of Art alias MET, located on Fifth Avenue on the eastern side of Central Park this time round opened its premises to a unique exhibition, which represents the meeting of luxurious fashion, medieval art and traditional Catholicism. The opening of the exhibition was preceded by an opening ceremony that was not missed even by the greatest stars.
Who showed up for the luxurious opening ceremony?
The opening ceremony, Met Gala, took place on 7.5. and the stars that arrived in thematic luxurious sweeping gowns, included for example Rihanna, Amber Heard, Jennifer Lopez, Diange Kruger, Katy Perry, Sarah Jessica Parker, Miley Cyrus, Blake Lively, Anna Wintour or George and Amal Clooney. From Catholicism to the latest creations in the history of fashion
"Fashion and religion has long since blended into one another, inspiring and informing each other," said Andrew Bolton, head curator of MET.
The Heavenly Bodies exhibition is thus a place of examination of complex and often controversial relationship between fashion and Catholicism. It is precisely the papal clothes and accessories from the Sistine Chapel, some of which were never seen outside the Vatican, which form the cornerstones of the prestigious exhibition. It also reveals luxury fashion since the beginning of the twentieth century to present day.

Th exhibition presents models of the most famous designers, including for example Balenciaga, Dolce and Gabbana, John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld, Jeanne Lanvin, Thierry Mugler or Gianni Versace.
