Favorit Bicycles: Resurrection of the Famous Czech Brand
Almost one hundred years of the company history
The company history dates back to 1922 when the production of the Tripol Hering brand was founded by three business men, Swetlik, Kastrup and Hering. From 1934 to 1948, bicycles were produced in Rokycany by two manufacturers, Tripol and Tudor. They subsequently merged into a single company.
The Favorit brand had gained its good reputation mainly alter 1950, when the TJ Favorit cycling club was founded and when our national team members were bringing back prizes from international competitions as well as the Olympic Games. The demand for the luxury bicycles was skyrocketing and in 1978 the company reached a milestone, producing its millionth bike. During the 1980’s, the company was successfully exporting its bicycles to, among others, the USA and Canada.
After the revolution, the company started to decline. The decline had not stopped until 2011, when businessman Mr. Richard Galovič purchased the trademarks of the original Favorit bicycle and began, with the help of a professional team, developing a new line of luxury Favorit bicycles.
Real Czech bicycle
All components that are necessary for manufacturing the bikes and that can be made domestically are made domestically. When you purchase a Favorit bicycle, you get a truly Czech product, which went through the hands of local people and workshops. Favorit bicycles are made manually and they meet all criteria of a demanding client. Their production still takes place in Rokycany today.

The used belt drive is lighter than the classic chain. It lasts longer, you will not get dirty from it and it will not drop down or snap in two. Favorit bicycles have just one derailleur and you can rollick on them whether you are pedaling or not. Their seats are made in three different widths from a 6-mm thick, high-quality leather. Over time, the leather gets softer and absolutely comfortable. The handlebar tape is also luxurious – also made of leather. You can choose between a steel and carbon frames. All Favorit bicycles include built-in front and rear lights, which automatically adjust to the given light conditions. And what is the icing on the cake? Personalization – the bicycle will have your name!
