The blessed Lebanese designer Elie Saab again managed to take my breath away!
A look at his collection is for any woman comparable with a dog looking at a bowl full of tasty little rewards (clearly salivating)... I keep asking myself how could a married straight man come up with something like that? Such feeling and imagination is really a very rare combination. And yet it can be done!
I incredibly enjoy the light reflection of the 1920´s. Most of all this is obvious when looking at the richly decorated headgear which seem to copy pilot´s caps. Yes it was very fashionable then and it lost no zest with the passage of time! A wonderful example are those gold-champagne-hued dress with Lilly-of-the-valley-blue ostrich feathers on the upper part of the gown. It is so amazing and different! At any ball in the world it will transform the lady into a striking original. I choose those!
Perhaps I will surprise some, but this time I give black pieces a pass. In the end they look quite boring compared to the rest. And the absolutely only, and tiny minus point at that, I see in those giant satin-finish bows around the neck. The models remind me of cute puppies that children find under the Christmas tree. So if you already chose one here, please leave your house without them ...
