Starting today, people will also have to wear face masks in publicly accessible places in the built-up area of a municipality, if at that place there are more than two persons closer than two metres apart. The measure does not aply to members of the same household, or people who are currently playing sports. Face masks have to be worn even in cars, if you aren't travelling alone or with your relatives.

However, the government will discuss the Covid-19 crisis measures once again in the morning. And they are definitely not planning to ease them yet, on the contrary: Health Minister Roman Prymula indicated on Tuesday that further restrictions may be introduced. According to some media, the MEPs discussed restrictions on free movement of people or the opening hours of shops or services.

In addition to that, the Czech Republic has set a new sad record - almost 12,000 new cases were recorded in the country on Tuesday - the highest number of newly infected people since the beginning of the epidemic. Extremely high numbers were recorded in Prague, where, for the first time, more than 1,500 people tested positive.

The technology giant Google is probably about to face hard times. It is dealing with one of the largest antitrust cases in US history.

Allegedly, Google has been violating the law on the abuse of market power - blocking competitors and thus preventing his rivals from gaining an audience. According to the lawsuit, Google, for example, pays billions of dollars a year to companies such as Apple, LG, Motorola and Samsung, and browser developers such as Mozilla and Opera to be their default search engine. Eleven US states have signed the lawsuit.

And what does Google think of the lawsuit? The company isn't overly stressed:

"People use Google because they want to, not because they have to or because they can't find alternatives."

Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific plans to lay off nearly 6,000 people. In total, it will cancel 8,500 positions (almost a quarter), more than 2,000 of which are currently vacant. Travelers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia may know the company for its flights to Southeast Asia, Australia or New Zealand.

The airline also wants to amend its contracts with pilots and flight crew:

"The global pandemic has had a devastating impact on the aviation industry, and the sad truth is that we need to restructure from the ground up to survive."

Have you ever dreamed of a car so fast that you'd see the world around you only as a blurred smudge in the rearview mirror while driving it? If your answer is yes, you will probably be interested to know that the title of "the fastest production car" has a new owner. It went to the not very well-known car manufacturer SSC and their Tuatara.

During two trials on an eleven-kilometer section of a freeway near Las Vegas, the car claimed an average speed of 508.7 kilometers per hour. By the way, SSC is planning to produce a hundred such cars. Here comes your chance to get your hands on one! That is, if you have dozens of millions of crowns to spare.

However, SSC is not the only company to push the limits of production cars. A little over a year ago, Buggati manufactured a car that reached an average speed of 490.5 kilometers per hour during trials.

Face masks are not the only thing the Minister of Health Roman Prymula comments on. He posts questions on his Twitter account, which he then responds to with short videos. Is it safe to go shopping? What do you think about people who don't follow the measures? Want to know more about the CoroVent ventilators?

Fortunately, the world hasn't stopped spinning because of coronavirus, and some people are still interested in other things, too. For example, has the minister noticed that Leoš Mareš spoke about him in his broadcast?

Suprisingly, the minister seems to have belonged to his regular listeners:

"I have to say that, without wanting to flatter my colleague Mareš, when I was still driving to work in my personal car, Evropa 2 was my radio station of choice, and together with Patrik Hezucký, Leoš Mareš always made my morning travel much more pleasant."

And that's all from us for today! We hope that we have made your morning a bit more pleasant, too, and we wish you a beautiful day full of optimism. As Winston Churchill said:

"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."
