The same applies to the children’s collection, which will draw you into a world full of colours, sequins, patches, slogans, toys and other details, that definitely belong to childhood. And you will be amazed once again when you see the campaign for the FW 18/19 collection, not only because you will want to buy items for your child, but your little darling will also be excited about the collection. And do you know why? Because it offers children something that will draw their attention!
Elements that demonstrate a wonderful playfulness
It is clear from the collection that the designers took great pains and considered what would be interesting for small children. Even though the collection is very fashionable and boasts designs worn by adults, the clothes also have plenty of details for children. However, the most important factor is playfulness: letters, jigsaws, pictures (rainbows, ice cream), patches and other children’s details. A rebellious collection for little rascals!
That is how the newest children’s collection by Dolce & Gabbana can be briefly described. In other words: an extremely playful mix that I really enjoy! Except for the prices of course...
To be truly objective I asked my five-year old son Quentin for assistance when writing this article. As an expert he rated what was “cool” or not in his opinion. The result surprised even me...So the biggest winner, on which we both agree, is the denim jacket with the picture patches and the red fox collar. Apparently the girls at school would be gobsmacked. And I think that the teachers would too (haha). And what is more, I can find practically all the colours that exist on this item thanks to the patches and so it can be worn with basically anything and will also keep your child warm as a bonus!
And which item was a complete dud in my child’s eyes? I would never have thought so, but surprisingly it was the light blue sweatshirt with the bear’s head and then the tiger or zebra hat, which looked like the heads of the animals. Apparently it was completely out and only babies in prams wear them (evidently against their will). I thought these items looked a little scary, but like a proper boy, Quentin doesn’t want to admit that he thought they are!
