We will be able to see the deluxe film Solo: Star Wars Story in our cinemas on 24 May. This film will acquaint you with the hero space smuggler who was played by actor Harrison Ford in the original Star Wars series in 1977. The film had its ceremonial pre-premier at the Cannes festival yesterday.
Tuesday at the deluxe film festival in Cannes belonged to the new film called Solo: Star Wars Story. Stars Alden Ehrenreich and Emilia Clarke were joined on the red carpet by Chewbacca, the very popular sidekick of space smuggler Han Solo. He evidently enjoyed his turn walking on the deluxe red carpet.
This film, which is part of the main saga, goes back in time before the original events, to the time when the space pilot who played a major part in Star Wars was young. The film was also received well by critics, who have limited their responses to brief twitter messages, such as “absolutely fascinating” or “devilishly good entertainment”.
A loner who realises how important it is to be part of the greater whole and to fight for good. This is exactly how author of the space saga George Lucas imagines Han Solo. His early life story is told by the trilogy of books about Han Solo, according to which he is an orphan brought up by a criminal. But when he was nineteen he escaped and made use of his talent for piloting deluxe machines of all types, flying anything from fighter craft to cargo ships.
In this deluxe film the role of the young pilot went to twenty-eight year old Alden Ehrenreich, who you may know from Woody Allen’s film Jasmine’s Tears.
