The fashion of Vivienne Westwood is controversial, provocative, but above all, has a higher mission. The ecologically-minded designer uses luxury fashion as a means of activism and aims to live in harmony with the planet and stop climate change. The idea of buying less and choosing well is one that we very much like, confirming the rule that quality is more important than quantity.
Vivienne Westwood is known for her creative models which tend to be provocative, personalized, extravagant and in the spirit of breaking down conventions. The luxury FW 18/19 collection, which the designer conceived in a playful manner, is no exception. In addition to distinctive models, there are also props in the form of prison beds, tin barrels, gunny sacks, banners and flags.
The luxurious FW 18/19 collection is full of vibrant colors, unique cuts and striking patterns. It includes tartan and stripes that adorn luxury jackets, trousers, shirts and elegant ladies suits, as well as relaxed maxi dresses.
Thanks to their extravagance, the designs of Vivienne Westwood are not for everyone. Some wedding dresses that Vivienne Westwood creates with a smaller dose of creativity are an exception, however. She probably realizes that brides want originality, but within certain limits.
As for the luxurious FW 18/19 collection, here the designer didn't have to adhere to any strict rules, so you can see models that look like sexy female tractor drivers and prisoners, or a model in satin and shiny coveralls who looks just like the controversial Lady Gaga.
Autumn/Winter as presented by Vivienne Westwood is not so much like the (sometimes crazy) collections she has shown in the past. I also have to admit that I was very surprised by the choice of models. It's the first time I've seen a plus size model, and I appreciate it as much as her fashion message to save our planet.
I really like the denim coveralls that perfectly shape larger breasts and the vamp woman's figure. They are very sexy, certainly comfortable and at the same time functional even for a trip. I'm excited about them and would have no problem wearing them for an afternoon party, or for a trip to Okoř Castle. Great!
Naturally, I mustn't forget the beautiful pink dresses of various cuts. The longest off-the-shoulder one intrigued me the most. An ordinary off-the-shoulder will sometimes have a bigger effect than full cleavage. What amused me, however, was the flared dress in canary yellow with the EU flag on the bottom. Honestly, who wouldn't agree with Vivienne at the moment? Spread butter is still butter for us Czechs! :-D
