Dua Lipa and Stormzy became the main winners of the luxurious music-focused Brit Awards. Five nominations turned into victory of Dua Lipa in the Singer and Discovery of the Year category. The twenty-four year old rapper and hip-hop singer, Stormzy, was declared the best singer; he inter alia received an award for the Best Album, Gang Signs & Prayer. The award for the best British single was won by none other than soul singer Rag’n’Bone Man. The award of the best music band was given to the band Gorillaz. Luxurious applause.
Further luxury trophies were also earned by foreign musicians, we can mention the New Zealand singer Lorde or the American rapper Kendrick Lamar. Ed Sheeran accepted the prize Global Success, to which he was congratulated by music master, Elton John himself, though by means of a pre-recorded video clip. Harry Styles won the "British Art Video of the Year" with his "Sign of Time".
This was the message of the beautiful Dua Lipa from the stage when she accepted her statuette award.
Justin Timberlake opened the final show which was later on joined by country singer Chris Stapleton who also appears on Timberlake´s album Man of the Woods.
And last but not least, we could not but be impressed by the magic of the luxurious red Brit Awards statuettes: the prize awarded to the winners. The man behind this wonderful jewel is sculptor Anish Kapoor.
