BFGU at MBPFW: Connection of Aggressive Punk with Japanese Elegance

The Bunka Fashion Graduate University (BFGU) was founded in 2006 as the first Japanese high school specialising in fashion. BFGU focuses on a prospective group of young people from the fashion industry who are gradually able to set up their own brand or business and thus create new intellectual property of world fashion industry.
This time round you would be able to see the creative work, building on individual concepts of four representatives, selected from among the graduates.

A fashion show where you easily have fun with eccentricity
Punk, eccentricity and on the other hand tassels, ruched detail and layering is still the domain and frequent motifs with which designers come into contact. The luxurious small hair accessories in the form of practical colourful plastic clips lent a wild look to the models and often performed the role of creating a punk cut impression. The innovative idea of using a carabiner clip as a luxurious earring would be for many of us a real challenge. On the other hand, it comes in handy when rock climbing.
The collection´s "luxury graffiti” is sure to capture your attention
But let´s go back to the collection itself. The models did not skimp on colours, transparency but also sleeker, purely women's materials, such as tulle. In combination with the novel, in places cut-out white-golden jacket, the BFGU students created luxury designer clothing. Most of all, our attention was caught by this already mentioned material with cut-out details and a magnificent optical effect reminiscent of luxurious "graffiti". The creators gave it a real zest by cut-out parts, looking like a play with illusion. Something should be seen and something hidden.
These Japanese artists are simply a superior league!

A first-class fashion show? Maybe perhaps at BFGU!
Punk, Lolita, denim and lots of other components collected into one sensational show! And it was really worth it.
The model that made an impression on me at first glance was composed of an oversize semi-sheer pullover with pompoms, a short black top, a pleated skirt with a decorative wrap around the waist and the whole was accompanied by a pair of transparent ankle high heels. A business meeting, a cup of coffee with a girlfriend or a family get-together? This is simply perfect for any such occasion. In my opinion it is perfect and chic!
Also, at first sight I fell in love with a light pink top with a cute fluffy tulle skirt and an absolutely stunning gold-silver jacket. It is simply very pleasing to look at, and I even recalled the Paris-set parts of "Sex and the City", where Carrie put on something quite similar. Beautiful...
