When he presented a show titled “A new beginning, a new identity and a new day for my brand” at Couture Week in Paris, everyone watched open-mouthed. The designer refers to Asia in his Collection 1
The deluxe fashion house under the rule of Alexander Wang continues to offer unbelievably sophisticated and chic fashion, which both young girls and mature women will find items to wear in. The same applies to his Collection 1, in which the designer returns to his native Asia and to which he brings a breath of fresh air. The show, which took place in the centre of breath-taking, romantic Paris, was held in the rocker spirit.
Clothing to wear to a festival, concert or sports match
The models walked along the runway to the rhythm of a heavy metal soundtrack, which perfectly complemented the ambiance here. Interesting items in Collection 1 included the rocker dresses, the hard leather jackets with bold zips, the leather shorts with the unmistakably distinctive gold belt, the headscarves, the denim and fringes and also the trendy everyday clothing. Bold details such as belts, chains, zips, bras and corsets, gave each model the appropriate sexy flair. Women who love music, rock and an unrestricted lifestyle and also women who love unusual fashion, will appreciate these clothes.

At first glance the deluxe collection by Alexander Wang is really relaxed, and also extravagant and sexy in places. The models combine several materials, which results in a unique outfit. An imaginative mix of California and China
Alexander Wang and his recollection of his native roots. Yes, that is one possible description of the new “Collection 1”, which was presented in the centre of Paris. Wang even left a short message in each place for the attending guests, in which he identified the collection as a new beginning, a new identity and a new day for his brand, with the understanding that he continues to discover himself in New York.
Wang has roots in China as some of you are aware. As a result he introduced several Asian “Chinoiserie” elements into his work in a very sophisticated manner. Chinese frog fastenings on shirts, high mandarin collars and even embellished masks, which have developed into a popular Asian style element. Although I am very doubtful that anyone in Europe will ever wear glittering surgical masks, I realise that something like this basically belongs in the show.
However, all this results in a mix of California (where Wang grew up) and China. This luckily makes the collection more interesting and I liked the model worn by Bella Hadid. She looks exactly like a Guns and Roses groupie. Leather shorts, a lace bra, cowboy necktie, denim jacket and enormous tennis shoes. Very sexy and lovely simultaneously! And the ideal choice for a summer rock festival
