Hadid’s buildings can be admired all the way from New York to Hong Kong. Born in 1950 in Baghdad, she studied mathematics and architecture. Her death last spring represents a great loss for the whole world.

Her Zaha Hadid Architects Studio in London has been in operation since 1979; it has 400 employees and 900 buildings around the world can be credited to it. These spectacular luxurious buildings are highly-structured in terms of their shapes and both imposing and immodest with perfection in every detail. They testify to her passion for hi-tech and her openness to the trends of modern architecture.

Beijing, Hong Kong, Qatar

On the Asian continent we can mention the Jockey Club Innovation Tower located at the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong and the Guangzhou Opera in China, which is rightly regarded as representing the architecture of the future. Also a luxurious building is the Galaxy Soho complex, a huge shopping and office centre that is located in Beijing. This luxury tower will have 38 floors, 200 hotel rooms and 120 apartments and it will be located in Lusail, which is a newly emerging coastal city.

The Science Museum in London has opened a new Exhibition of Mathematics in the Winton gallery, the interior of which is emerging from Zaha Hadid’s workshop. It is dominated by her traditional round curves and surfaces. Visitors there can admire hundreds of rare exhibits from the fields of science, mathematics and engineering. A New Complex in Prague

Hadid’s design work won the competition for the construction of a new complex between Florence and Masarykovo Station in Prague. Offices, residential apartments and shops will be located there.

Futuristic Furniture Designs

From where Zaha Hadid obtained so much energy and so many ideas is in the stars. In addition to architecture she also focused on residential design, which features the same lines as her architecture does. There are luxurious chandeliers, furniture and equipment for the kitchens, for which she found inspiration in shapes that were created by nature itself. The most advanced technology was used for their production, however.

You could encounter her luxury designs at such international fairs as the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Salone del Mobile in Milan and Design Miami.
