Designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974. He studied industrial design in Madrid and in Paris. In 1997 he joined Benetton. Gradually he worked his way up and started to design collections of toys, ceramics and furniture, later on also interior design. He founded his own design studio, Hayon. The artist´s respect and understanding of skills and craft and his own creativity enabled him to push the boundaries of his creative work.
We will introduce to you his impressive achievements, which are carried on the wave of luxury, containing a great deal of aesthetics. His notable achievements include for example the Boutique Flagship Nirav Modi in New Delhi, Octium - jeweller´s in Kuwait, Salon Faberge in Geneva, Switzerland and the Information Centre for Groninger´s Museum in the Netherlands. Also Hayon´s latest luxury restaurant, Le Sergeant Recruteur in Paris, is a good example of refined taste and artistic approach.
His work has appeared in the most prestigious art and design publications worldwide. You could have also meet him in person at Designblok 2018, where he was the main star of the event.
He designed a series of iconic luxury furniture for Danish company, Fritz Hansen, specifically, Jaime created the legendary FAVN sofa, furthermore also Magis, Established and Sons, Bisazza, B.D. Barcelona, Bernhardt Design, Ceccotti or Moooi. For B.D Barcelona he created the iconic ceramic collection Happy Susto, bearing the unmistakable signature and sense of humour of Jaime Hayon. The decorative objects from this collection are available in several sizes, colours and surface treatments.
Hayon is also the author of various luxury light fittings for Metalarte. He is also associated with companies such as Swarovski and Baccarat. He has also created accessories for companies Piper Heidsieck, Gaia and Gino and The Rug Company.
