The luxurious Ford Fiesta RS WRC has a 1.6 EcoBoost engine, developed in cooperation with Ford, reaching 221 kW (300 hp) in 6000 rpm.min-1with its prescribed 33mm restrictor, and torque of 450 Nm in 4,000 rpm.min-1. All four wheels are powered via a 6-speed sequential M-Sport/X-Trac gearbox, which was developed by M-Sport and Ricardo. In asphaltic specification the car travels on 18" wheels with disc brakes with a diameter of 355 mm, on snow and gravel 15" wheels and 300mm brakes are used.
The colour scheme of the car is highlighted by a Red Bull logo.
After the spectacular season of 2017, when a new generation of significantly faster cars was presented, thanks to which drivers may easily achieve better positions, begins the new 2018 season, "FIA World Rally Championship".
Director of M-Sport Fiesta, Malcolm Wilson, believes that his team has created a luxury car with a winning potential.
