It's really hot in America. And not because of the coronavirus pandemic, but because of the presidential election, which is now in full swing. Two candidates, two parties. The nation is divided in two camps. In discussions, both candidates are not afraid to throw the most terrible dirt at each other. Will the world's most powerful country be led by the current Republican President Donald Trump, or will he be replaced by the Democrat Joe Biden? And what do our Czech celebrities think about it? P-Life.com knows it!
This election is already the 59th and the winner will take office and move to the White House on January 20, 2021. Both candidates are fighting until the last minute, touring the states of America and speaking to the electors. Already on Monday evening, more than 90 million people voted in advance.
"I see the 'mute button' as the most positive benefit of this year's US election. I would apply it to our Chamber of Deputies, political debates on TV, but also often during our president's speeches,"
A new mother Renata Langmannová confided to LP-life.com that she has different worries thanks to her baby now, but that she believes that Trump will win again.
The singer Leona Machálková has a similar opinion, apparently she would have gotten carried away by the election if she lived in the USA.
"I see the presidential election in the USA as a huge show, which would have probably also pulled me in if it affected me and I would've lived there. Personally, I believe that Donald Trump has a better chance of success, despite the comments and arguments of personalities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and others. He is the dominant man to whom the hopes of many Americans cling, despite his mistakes and the theatricality which he shows off.”
On the other hand, the leading fashion stylist Filip Vaněk sympathizes more with Joe Biden, and the democrat Joe Biden is also more pleasing to the model Nikol Švantnerová.
"For me, the election is very exaggerated. When I see the debates, I don't like the way they argue a lot. However, I don't think Trump has as big support anymore, and I also found Biden much more pleasant, but I admit I didn't watch it any closer,"
On the other hand, the actress and singer Yvetta Blanarovičová keeps up a lot with what is happening overseas. She fears that a potential candidate might start another war in the world.
"I think it will be a win-win, adepts for the president only benefit from this position. So, no matter if it's Biden or Trump, each of them will remain in a very lucrative position. I just worry that if there is a new president, there will be a war somewhere again. Historically, the presidents of the USA after his accession: Johnson - invasion of Vietnam, Carter Vietnam, Cambodia, Reagan - military intervention of Grenada, George W. Bush - invasion of Panama, Bill Clinton - Bosnia, George Bush Jr. - Iraq, Obama - Afghanistan, Trump - Syria. Hopefully they will choose a calmer one,"
