Tod's 18/19: Milan Fashion Week or Exhibition of Dogs?
Has the year of the Dog something to do with it?
The luxurious FW 18/19 show was launched by Gigi Hadid with a cute French bulldog in hand. Did perhaps Tod's create its collection influenced by the Chinese year of the Dog, too? If so, it was well done, that the four-legged pets were only placed into the arms of the models, but not on the clothes themselves, those dog-themed items are somehow everywhere you look. But we enjoyed this variant!

Nice earthy tones enriched by fresh mint and warm mustard shades
The autumn collection consists of models in natural shades - earthy brown, nude, cream, white, black, but also the more pronounced mustard, burgundy and mint. The whole collection makes a very harmonious and relaxed impression. The luxury brand managed to prove that it is not necessary to use the full range of colours to create something exclusive.
While others go smaller, Tod's remains committed to bags à la shipping case!
At a time when other designers´ handbags are shrinking almost to the size of purses, Tod's maintain the practical large format. Although you can find here a few smaller versions, where we appreciate the silver piece with golden inscription Tod's, primarily the luxury collection FW 18/19 contains larger models, which is good news for us women. Where would we otherwise keep all those everyday necessities?!
A handy collection that has style
The FW 18/19 collection is clearly dominated by leather. You can find it on coats, jackets, trousers, skirts, handbags as well as boots. In addition there also appeared suede, cotton or wool. Whichever piece you are after, they all have one thing in common; they are all comfortable and practical. Therefore as regards footwear, do not expect any high heels, but comfortable loafers, boots or ankle boots.
And which beauties did the luxury brand Tod's invite this time round? Gigi and Bella Hadid, Luna Biji or Grace Elizabeth.

A perfectly balanced collection!
Tod's and its lamb-inspired collection in the heart of Milan really pleased me! Is it really enjoyable to see a collection which is basically almost perfect. Wearability hand-in-hand with elegance and laid back style in one - yes, that is what we ladies, forever on rounds around the Prague centre really appreciate!
The cognac-coloured leather trousers, cream handbag, loafers and brick/burgundy/yellow/white woollen sweater: this is at first glance something incredibly comfy, warm while being totally original. I really don´t think that one would meet another mother in the same outfit on a school run. So, 90% from me (the bar can always be moved a little higher).
I also very much like the trouser outfit with a looser jacket, which has half-brown sleeves. Put together with the mini handbag and flats - again jaw-dropping. Sporty elegance and so original at the same time! The only thing spoiling the whole collection is those dreadfully-cut leather trousers, shown by Gigi Hadid. When even her legs look in them like shapeless sacks, I strike it off the shopping list at once!
