The third child of Prince William and Duchess Kate is a baby boy!
Her Royal Highness Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Elizabeth Middleton, was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, this morning. At 11:01 am she gave birth to a baby boy!
Duchess Kate and Prince William's third child was born.
Buckingham Palace informed today that Kate had left Kensington Palace in the morning by car for the Lindo hospital wing along with the Duke of Cambridge. This is the same maternity hospital where four years ago, Kate and William's first child, son George, and two years later daughter Charlotte, were born. Since April 9th, barricades were built at the hospital, and people waited there 15 days for the Duchess to arrive and give birth to a child the entire nation has been waiting for.
The couple did not know the gender of the baby in advance, and the whole world has now learned that a son was born! The baby weighs 8 pounds and 7 ounces, which is approximately 3.7 kg. Among the first to learn about the birth of the child was Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the royal family. Afterwards, as is the custom, a solemn announcement was made to London. The royal family informed that the duchess and baby boy are doing great.
