When actress Jennifer Aniston recently set up an Instagram account, the social network collapsed several times due to fan interest in a couple of countries. Within five hours, she managed to gain her first million followers and now has more than 18 million of them.
Obviously, if she wants, she can post various adds on her profile, and business companies will pay her hundreds of thousand for it. Or even millions of crowns.
But it will still be only a fraction of what the world's top earners among popular influencers make. They usually have over 100 million followers and collect tens of millions of crowns for a single post containing an add.
Although the American model and designer is far from having the most followers on Instagram, she is currently the most influential and most earning influencer. She is the only one who asks more than one million dollars for one advertising post - 1.2 million dollars to be exact (27.4 million crowns). At the moment, she has 150.2 million followers.
American singer Ariana Grande has a total of 166.3 million followers, which is the second largest number in the world. And she happens to be on the second place when it comes to earnings from advertising, too - for one post, she asks for 22.8 million crowns.
In addition to the millions he had accumulated during his football career, Cristiano Ronaldo also earns a round sum of money for advertising on Instagram. Thanks to having over 188 million followers, he can charge CZK 22.3 million for one post.
Kim Kardashian, the star of reality TV shows, tabloids and social media, currently has 150 million followers and companies pay her up to 20.8 million crowns for one Instagram post.
Actress and singer Selena Gomez was the most followed person on Instragram up until 2018, when football player Ronaldo overtook her. Selena has 159 million followers today and charges up to 20.2 million crowns per advertising post.
The situation in the Czech Republic is different and the earnings of local influencers are lower by several zeros than those of the global ones. There are no official overviews, but Leoš Mareš, for example, revealed that he charges at least CZK 400,000 for cooperation on Instagram some time ago. Based on that, we can estimate he earns a few million of crowns per month.
Helen Nguyen, an influencer-marketing expert, said in a recent interview with Seznam news that the incomes of the most influential Czech influencers range from tens to hundreds of thousands of crowns. We can conclude that the amount Czech influencers earn during an entire cooperation is equal to what average foreign influencers charge for one post.
