The perfect mishmash was provided by students from UTB Zlín at Prague Fashion Week. Are you interested in the creativity of the current generation? We bring you a rundown of their design skills.
We have to admit that the students from Tomáš Baťa university in Zlín definitely do not lack creativity, and several models we'd wear right away. Come take a closer look with us at four collections by young talents.
Kristián Stanko is responsible for the first collection, and our jaws straight up dropped when we saw the first model striding down the runway. Luxurious white trousers accompanied by a white transparent top with a train, a pair of antlers affixed to the model's throat - an unexpected sight for our eyes. Other outfits followed, all in white: a beautiful dress, a pantsuit, even menswear. An absolute marvel!
The moment I saw a model in a wide white mini-dress and a long transparent overskirt, I was honestly sad that I'm already married. This design is the absolute winner!
It appears that visitors from space have been all over the place recently, and that's not even just at Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week. A delegation from a different planet visited us from Zlín too. Adriana Šatková expresses through her collection that there still haven't been any women to the Moon. Could she be calling for change?
Anežka Berecková's collection is somewhat restrictive. In a time when oversize is everywhere, the young student went for lacing and corsets. Combined with a choice of sweet colors she tries to bring us back to our childhood when we wanted to become princesses. Did she manage, or did she rather take us to a time when women who didn't have ideal proportions used uncomfortably restrictive clothing to pretend otherwise?
Miroslava Nováková introduced a collection full of colors, graphics, but also transparency. She left us a little bit confused, yet some of the pieces we could imagine wearing in different combinations.
Students from UTB Zlín easily put the entire work of their colleagues from UPRUM to shame. I'm loving their stuff, even though it's often rather over the top in places. But that's what student life is about. Shocking, attracting attention, and most of all, starting a new fashion REVOLUTION!
Kristián Stanko presented his work first. Antlers on the runway? Never seen that before! Not even when I used to work as a model myself. I was most captivated by the white pantsuit. Even though I probably wouldn't wear it, because with my falling tendencies it'd cost me both my eyes.
Adriana Šatková, on the other hand, went for space. Unfortunately I can't be of service here. Overall, the space theme is overused to me and bores me to death. Thank you, NEXT!
And at the end, Anežka Berecková's lace-up collection. Here I'm loving the grey oversized hoodie with the light pink corset on top, accompanied by a sweetly pink silk skirt. Provocative, sexy, yet absolutely innocent-looking. That's the playfulness I keep looking for! Thanks.
