The Resort 2019 collection represents a 180-degree turn in Balmain´s creation. We really had make sure several times that the fun, colourful, comfortable and teenager fashion comes from the same creative director, Olivier Rousteing. And it does!

Paris: The city of contrast which belongs to your wardrobe
Paris is the city of surprising contrasts and wealth and in this very spirit was born the new luxury collection of Balmain, reflecting a diversity of interests and moods of the male part of the population. It represents bohemian lifestyle attitude in combination with modern and bold sophistication, bringing something unknown.
This is what is known as courage! Balmain created harem trousers and sequinned pieces
Some of the luxury pieces will demand from their wearers a little more courage than usual. Such harem trousers do not really belong to popular pieces of men´s wardrobe. Moreover, what about neon denim jackets, sequinned jumpers or shirts with a deep V-shape neckline, Hawaiian style? Gentlemen, get your courage up: 3,2,1 - GO!

If you nevertheless miss rocker fashion, you don´t need to despair. In addition to comfy pieces á la easy-going cool guy, Olivier Rousteing also prepared several models that make the Balmain brand what it is. Luxurious leather and motorbike jackets or shiny tops full of gold and silver applications - these are immortal!
With regard to the universality of Resort 2019 we are in no doubt that really everyone must be able to choose here. In the collection of which other luxury designer will you find fashion for a devil-may-care teenager as well as a hard rocker?!

Discard the palm trees; bring on the torn tracksuit pants - YES!
I haven´t been a teenager for some time now, and as I looked at the Balmain Resort 2019 collection, I found out that I am getting old. I am almost no longer able in this field to be so objective to claim with the greatest of certainties that this or that is really in. My goodness!!! Where is the world headed??
What I would definitely discard are those pieces with a cheap motif of palms á la Miami of 1990s. I simply don´t like it ever since I was little, it reminds me of a cheap marketplace. I would also rule out a few of those sequinned sweaters. See it on some guys, I would probably laugh that they are going to a casting for Discopříběh 3000 film.:-)
But then I saw those cream-coloured pieces, torn sweatpants, leather jackets with gold rhinestones. That is what I call the typical style of Balmain...of yes! That cream colour in combination with white and denim is in my opinion the TOP! Whether to school or on a date with some sexy girl from the school...as from the iconic film Mean Girls. An who wouldn´t want their boy to be the biggest hunk around?
