A record-breaking 2,020,000 CZK collected for charity at the Ball like Brno!

The Ball like Brno is the annual event of the year. The famous attendees included television hosts Lucie Borhyová, Gabriela Lašková, Monika Leová or model Taťána Gregor Brzobohatá. 650 guests danced is gorgeous gowns

Those who love dancing certainly had a good time. An incredible 650 guests had the opportunity to dance with the legendary Gustav Brom Big Band. The evening was hosted by Libor Bouček, who alternated with an array of performers on stage.

“I was thrilled. A really wonderful event,” said Libor Bouček.

Among the most highly anticipated performers were British singer Holly Brewer and fan favourite Mikolas Josef, with Chinaski and the Queen revival band offering a midnight surprise.

The organisers managed to raise a record-breaking total of 2,020,000 CZK in the charity auction. 

1,540,000 CZK was raised in the direct auction, with the most expensive item being a pair of luxury watches by Prokop & Brož, which were auctioned off for 400,000 CZK.

Crystal imprint of Pierre Richard’s palm for 130,000 CZK

One bidder obtained a painting by Petr Kvíčala for CZK 380,000. A particular rarity in the auction was the crystal imprint of French actor Pierre Richard’s palm, which one guest took home for 130,000 CZK. Other guests contributed 480,000 CZK through donation cheques to charity, bringing the total to 2,020,000 CZK.

“The sum will be divided among the Pro dětský smích charity fund and Taťána Gregor Brzobohatá’s foundation Krása pomoci,” said the organisers of the ball Tomáš Pakosta and Bedřich Snášel.

“I had an incredibly good time. And I was thrilled that we received so much money for sick children and seniors,” said a thankful Taťána Gregor Brzobohatá.

Those who were looking forward to fine dining and drinks must have been thrilled. The banquet tables were overflowing with tiger prawns, oysters, tuna, veal cheeks, real champagne and a chocolate fountain.
