Racism and its True Story
American Director, Spike Lee, first introduced his novelty in the Festival of Cannes. The name of the film is BlacKkKlansman and it is a true story of a black police officer in a racist environment of the 70's, which penetrated Ku-Klux-Klan and contributed to demolition of many prejudices.
A young black man in the city of Colorado Springs becomes the first Afro-American detective who sets out to infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. One of the pioneers of American independent film will bring this incredible story into cinemas across the country on 16th August.

In the role of a fictional racist leader and in his thundering voice lets everyone know that Lee´s novelty, though it is taking place in the 1970's, painfully talks also about the current American issues. For the investigator Ron Stallworth to be able to win favour of racists from Ku-Klux-Klan, who want to recruit him based on a very convincing telephone call, he needs a white colleague. And so, his Jewish pall, Flip Zimmerman, played by Adam Driver, has plenty of opportunities to get to know the world of white cowls, burning crosses and hatred of "black faces".
Luxurious humanity topics
While Ron telephones with them, Flip goes in his name to luxury secret meetings. Lee is as always luxuriously rude director, changing the tone of the narration, alternating moods, touching on deep human and ethnic issues, a moment later being caricature-style obscene. Everything however fits into the traditionally-built up story.
Spike Lee managed to convincingly mix facts with a fairy tale that his film is luxuriously naive. The effect is however a powerful encouragement to get involved, be optimistic and there are opportunities for hearty laughter to achieve cathartic release.
