The unique interior of the restaurant and café on the corner of Na Poříčí and Zlatnická Street in Nové Město, in a building designed by builder-architect Jaroslav Benedikt, has been attracting guests since 1914. Even today, it retains the unique atmosphere of the grand style cafés of the First Czechoslovak Republic, not just with its exquisite ceramic decorations from the Art Nouveau period. In the past, regular visitors included famous personalities such as Franz Kafka and composer Leoš Janáček. The famous Prague restaurant, owned by renowned Chef Zdeněk Pohlreich, offers fine cuisine and excellent service in a luxurious setting. The menu includes traditional Czech dishes with a modern twist and international cuisine, mostly French and Mediterranean. Chef's specialties include veal cheeks in red wine, lamb shanks with marjoram or saddle of wild boar with port wine sauce.
