How do you choose the right one?
A single-breasted or double-breasted jacket, trousers without a crease, but with stripes, made from the same fabric as the jacket, a white dress shirt, a cummerbund, black bow tie and patent leather shoes in the same colour. When should you replace a bow tie with a tie?
Yes, there will also be times when this is the case! Are you going to an event for which the invitation specifies the dress code as creative black tie? Then you can exchange your bow tie for a tie or choose a different colour (ideally in your partner’s dress colour). And what about the colour of your dinner jacket? The range of choices will also be broader here. You can choose dark blue, wine red, white or a wilder version, such as those offered by the deluxe Gucci brand for instance.
