It was for the seventh time now that a Gala Dinner of the Happy Hearts Endowment Fund was held. It was carried in the Art Deco style at the occasion of the 100th anniversary of establishment of Czechoslovakia, under the name of 1918 Century Ball. During the evening there was a performance of Ondřej Havelka with Melody Makers and Lenka Nová with Petr Malásek within their ongoing tour (“In two”) “Ve dvou”.
The luxurious evening was also participated upon by fashion designer Beata Rajská, famous explorer of Swedish origin, Johan Ernst Nielson, Zdeněk Piškula and major representatives of domestic and as well as foreign business sphere.
New ambassadresses of Happy Hearts have been appointed Ivana Mrázová, successful model who pursues her career in Italy, who has more than 1 million fans on Instragram, and singer Lenka Nová.
The main objective was to obtain funds to build new schools for children in Nepal. And with this the endowment fund succeeded!
During the gala evening, which took place on 26. October, a record sum was collected, of 7 million crowns. It is designated for the construction of new schools in Nepal.
"For the past seven years of charity gala dinners, more than 22 million crowns was collected in total. Thanks to generosity of Czech and foreign donors, four schools have already been built in Haiti and Nepal which have helped to change the lives of more than 1,200 children; two more schools in Nepal will be built thanks to generosity of Czech and Slovak donors in the coming year." Says the director of the Happy Hearts endowment fund in the Czech Republic, Karolína Bosáková.
The Happy Hearts endowment fund in the Czech Republic is involved in cooperation to aid countries affected by natural disasters with its partner, the American foundation, All Hands and Hearts - Smart Response.
The Happy Hearts endowment fund regularly donates a part of the proceeds from charity gala dinners also to the support of selected foundations active in the Czech Republic. This year it supported the project of "Better School for All' of People in Distress.
The Happy Hearts endowment fund is a subsidiary of the American Foundation All Hands and Hearts - Smart Response in the Czech Republic. It supports renovation of schools to make them safe again in areas affected by natural disasters and to date it has built 232 schools in 12 countries around the world, serving more than 107 thousand of children.
