Do you remember the scene from Bridget Jones's diary, when Renée Zellweger does her makeup in the taxi at the last minute in the dark, and then scares all those present at the prestigious Bar Association event? We imagine the the makeup of some of the models that presented the latest pieces of the SS19 collection at the luxury Altuzarra fashion show was created exactly under such conditions.
Since the SS19 collection is primarily about fashion, let's talk about that. If we neglect this unpleasant misstep, we realize that we are looking at a playful collection full of brilliant colors, prints and courageous applications and cuts.
What we enjoy are the beautiful and unique tops. Altuzarra presented these most often featured in a short under the breasts cut and also in the form of luxurious boleros and blouses with straps. The revealed shoulders, fringes, or transparent fabrics that the brand used for the tops gave them a sophisticated look.
Although the luxurious Altuzarra complemented the tops especially with asymmetrical and pencil skirts with sensuous slits, mostly in an identical color, we like the combination with slim or leather trousers just as much. Paired with them the summer pieces will look simply rebellious.
A smooth hair look, revealed abdomen, mesh outfits, shells and beads, romantic flowers, strap sandals and legendary mesh net bags. Altuzarra's entire luxurious collection breathes summer and that is exactly what the SS19 should be like. Mission accomplished!
Only thirty-five-year-old French designer Joseph Altuzarra really can surprise. While his contemporaries are coming up with of all sorts of bloody face masks and latex madness, he is the opposite. He relies on elegance that will never fail and sells much more in real life!
I was most intrigued by the pure white outfit consisting of classic trousers, an extended top to the mid-thighs with a deep neckline and a fine bead strap. But I would cut the purse with the cognac sandals – they are too ordinary from my point of view. But otherwise, the perfect outfit for a spring coffee on Nebozízek in the middle of pink blooming cherries.
But what, on the other hand, I consider absolutely terrible, is the set consisting of a skirt and blouse in the same pattern. An orange shade in connection with some kind of raspberry?! It looks like a hallucination somewhere in Woodstock. Horrible!
