The bar is furnished in 1930s style and refers to contemporary prohibition establishments, i.e. public houses. There, people across all social classes used to meet with their friends after work for a glass of fine alcohol, which was prohibited at the time. To recreate the atmosphere of the time as authentically as possible, Black Angel’s is located on the second underground floor of U Prince Hotel on Old Town Square. The original Roman and Gothic masonry underscore the “forbidden” feeling. The bar was created as a project by executive barman Pavel Šíma and during its existence it has garnered a number of awards, among other in the category of best cocktail bar in CZ for 2015 and in the Tales of the Cocktail 2015 international competition in New Orleans, where it ranked among the top 10 international hotel bars.
