Eighteen wonders of the world bears the name Flashtrek
After the recent collection Dapper Dan, the popular Italian brand came up with a plethora of new models of sneakers. They are blending sports style in combination with luxurious elegance and some are finished off by a jewel. Several models inspired by tourism, bearing the name of Flashtrek were embellished by Gucci by a flood of sparkling crystals.

A collection which is all about luxury crystals
The crystals placed on removable elastic straps adorn five out of the total of 18 models of the luxury collection Pre-Fall 2018. If the contemporary design of sneakers ceased to entertain you, you can easily change it.
Gucci rediscovered the good old hiking boots
While for ladies Gucci designed ten models, gentlemen must settle for "only" eight. The offer of luxury sneakers is more than varied and you can choose from either pieces of more extravagant colours and design, as well as simpler ones, ankle boots for example, that at first glance resemble the good old hiking boots. Footwear which is a loyal and constant companion of, you said it, tourists.
Bet on dynamics
In the creation of luxurious footwear, the brand placed a bet on a dynamic mix of materials - leather, suede, rubber or synthetic fibre. This is in most cases of a single colour, metallic or with the original GG monogram of the 70's.
Homage paid to the 80´s
The Gucci logo is displayed in graphic SEGA font. The well-known software and hardware developer, Sega Holdings Co., Ltd, which in the past excelled in the area of household PCs, consoles or video games, has given Gucci its consent, so that now you can at least through the extravagant Flashtrek, go back to the era of the popular colour cascades of the 80´s.

Gucci Flashtrek shoes for "real" tourism?
Since my early years I was led to enjoy tourism and this passion lasted to my adulthood. I remember well my first hike to Sněžka as well as some blisters from a whole-day trip. That is why I view the Gucci Flashtrek collection from the point of view of a real tourist, who really gets to enjoy his shoes to the full. Therefore, will at least one Gucci pair pass the test?
After seeing XY pairs of wannabe shoes intended for genuine trekking I had to laugh here and there. For example, those white snowy trekking shoes embellished by application of giant crystals. This is not suitable for the city centre (for any purpose) nor for some nature trip. It is simply an unsavoury item altogether.
On the other hand, my attention was caught by looking at the "Flashtrek GG high-top sneaker, brown leather". It is like looking at a classic model by Timberland. Practical and in addition the typical brown colour combined with cognac and the finely-made Gucci logo - GREAT! So, after all I have just discovered one hidden treasure here. As we say in Prague, "a proper show off in Špindl Hotel Savoy guaranteed!". Zingy!
