Sarah Jessica Parker swapped her Manolos for Swedish Hasbeens

The luxurious Swedish brand Swedish Hasbeens designs unique and stylish clogs that are hand-made from environmentally-friendly natural leather, with respect to people and the environment. And what do we like most about the brand? Its beautiful and apt motto: "Happy shoes make people happy." Maybe it was just one of the reasons that made SJP replace her luxurious Manolos for Sweedish Hasbeens.

Novadiva bets on simplicity, La Petite Mort on playfulness

Domestic Novadiva bets on simplicity and timeless design when creating its luxury models. In terms of material, it goes for flax, hemp or wool. The logo of the brand is a circle that symbolizes the cycle of nature and life. La Petite Mort, on the other hand, entertains with a playful concept and simple, more sporty pieces. It creates its ethical pieces slowly, cleanly and fairly. In short, the way it should be in the case of fashion with a soul.

Sleeping Gypsy: A bohemian style that we enjoy

Sleeping Gypsy is characterized by respect for nature and creates unique embroidered blouses and dresses using centuries-old costume techniques. The designs thus gain a bohemian touch and are the perfect and trendy choice for your wardrobe.

Think of Nature a Bit More

Right at the start of this article I have to say that everything marked as "fair trade" is close to my heart and has my support. Here in the Czech Republic this designation usually appears on food labels, so it is all about a nicer way of doing trade. Slowly but surely it is also going to be seen on fashion labels, too.

At first sight I have also fallen for clothes of the "Sleeping Gypsy” brand. A Bohemian style blended with Aztec accents creates a unusual combination of colours and designs. Simply an ideal thing to wear in summer, especially to the various open-air festivals! The dresses from a small Ukrainian producer may be purchased for around CZK 8,500. I believe that the beautiful, boldly decorated mustard-yellow dress, is just a tip of the iceberg.

And lastly, there is the domestic brand of AHINSA SHOES. To this day I have never heard of it either, so I was quite surprised that here, in the Czech Republic someone ventured into such a complex and high-risk business. To be honest, I explored the entire e-shop and I found nothing that would look all that great. Almost the entire line by their shape resembles replica of bowling shoes...could one perhaps stitch together a little better shape from that material? For the idea of the project itself deserves an A+, but the design and price tag (on average around CZK 3,400) as four minus. Although for a nice pair of shoes one can easily pay just a bit (or a bit more) extra.
