I Experienced a French Wedding! And I Was Awaited by an Unending Adventure ...
Sweets which come out through the ears and a major challenge when packing.
To start with I will tell you about the preparation of my trip. There is 660 cakes all wrapped up, about 5 giant honey-cakes, countless cookies, but that somewhat quickly disappears during the journey. There is a lot, but really a lot of things, simply because nothing can be left to chance and one family Renault car, reminiscent of a motorhome, I eventually found out came really handy. Direction of France, Lyon, about 1,200 km spent on the way, 3 wedding days ahead of us... this will be a ride!

The next day after arrival we were welcomed by beautiful weather in the mountainous areas, a hamlet, where wine production is no exception, and then the future newly-weds. In suspected in advance that the desire of the future couple was that we experienced with them one of the most important moments in their life in nature, but - in a camp! Accommodation - my idea was bungalows in the style of some luxury villas, but that was not the case to our surprise. We have found ourselves in tents, which were however decorated all the way to the roof, simply nothing was missing.

The second day. The family began to gather up, more and more people, approximately 120 people. Every time someone saw us they were ecstatic to see us (at least so it seemed) and that was followed by the French welcome, a kiss - three times on the face. Multiply that by the number of guests and you will get a luxurious number! Yes, all of that I managed masterfully and I have even learned at that time a few French chat phrases. The French are kind, keep talking French, even if you continue to repeat that you do not understand. It takes time for some to catch onto that, but others don´t understand and keep going on...
Organisationally everything was mastered to perfection. The beautiful moment came when we saw the glowing bride radiating tranquillity and supernatural amount of calm, smiling to all directions. The groom carried his delicate wife-to-be across a stream. All mothers and older, wiser guests kept their breath bated, what if they fall in? Something to cool one down would come in handy, I thought…then he proudly led her to a creatively made, decorated arch. The newly-weds read the wows that they put together themselves and from their hearts flowed the words about who is in their lives in the first place. There were a few tears, too. This was followed by the rings and all was sealed by a luxurious kiss.

The joy erupted with no stops; if there is something that the French can really do, it is to enjoy themselves, dance, be happy, and enjoy beautiful moments. Flash mob, a blazing entertainment, let´s go; high heeled sandals flying through the air, as well as handbags, hats, who could come onto the floor before the newly-wed, did, and the dancing was started. In the photo-corner we could put on a variety of wigs and decorations and let our hair down.
The feast was the icing on the cake; the luxury climax was the serving of choice home-made French produce of which they are rightly proud. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the French family, the incredible amount of contributions, speeches, well-wishers, congratulations, games, in this they are very artistic and original.

And that the French are unsurpassed dancers? We had a secret contest, whether it will be France or the Czech Republic. And who do you think won? "Oui oui." Yes, yes, we conquered them. And what was next? The wedding continued the next day at a more relaxed pace.
It was an incredibly pleasantly spent time and an unconventional Christian wedding, full of freedom, nature and luxury wines and I am beginning in part to feel quite French, at least in my heart.
