Legendary Czech Films at Dancing House: Exhibition Retro Movies of 60´s - 90´s
Until 14. October you have a chance to visit this unique film exhibition Retro Movies of 60´s - 90´s. We have already seen it within the framework of the press conference and it has truly surpassed our expectations.
All floors of the gallery are filled by mannequins in original costumes, as well as props, which inseparably belong to these legendary Czech films. We have thus been reminded of a plethora of luxury 70 films which we all know from television screens or the cinema.
What can you specifically look forward to?
Yes, for example the bitten off sausages from the film The Snowdrop Festival! And there is much more! Do you remember the trilogy, Sun, Hay, ...? Of course you do! At the Retro Movies exhibition you can thus see the nifty wooden bed in which mother of old Škopková lay in the garden. The wedding dress of her daughter is to be seen here, too.
The luxurious film Run, Waiter, Run needs not to be introduced. In the Dancing House you can see the sleek evening dress in which Josef Abrhám robbed the restaurant guests as well as the famous Velorex three-wheel car which he drove.
There are also costumes from the favourite comedy How to Drown Doctor Mráček, including the feet stuffed into the sink. A special lounge is devoted to the film Visitors, where you can have a closer look at the famous supercomputer CML (Central Brain of Mankind), the film Daisies or the series 30 Cases of Major Zeman.
"We have been preparing this exhibition for more than two years," says Robert Vůjtek, Director of the Dancing House gallery.
All of the 200 exhibited costumes are originals, loaned from the Barrandov Studios and Czech Television and we would like to thank everyone who participated in the preparation of the luxury exhibition. This is a unique show that will please everyone, entertain and bring a smile to the face.
