Although the Spanish fashion house, established in the middle of the 19th century, is primarily focused on leather products, it also offers a wide range of other accessories - key pouches, scarves, jewellery and scents. However, during the Salone del Mobile furniture trade fair the brand came up with something new: a luxurious collection, which, in addition to the classic Loewe products also offers hand-crafted fabric from different parts of the world.
The unique designer products are thus all original and further information is provided on an additional label. The luxury LOEWE products for 2018 came to be under the baton of the creative director, Jonathan Anderson, who´s been holding that post since 2013.
The luxurious collection is a mixture of cultures and a feast for the eyes. LOEWE brings a touch of fresh air from Japan by the offering of a silk blue curtain with motifs of herons and you will be transported to India, Italy, Ecuador, Spain or Germany by looking at the colourful handbags with tassels, made of wool or cotton.
The brand also embraced lascivious nudity, printing the fabric with undressed male bodies. Shocking? Not at all. Just by looking at other pieces with geometric patterns or romantic, delicate motifs of birds, few people would have guessed at first glance that they come from the same collection.
There are also original pieces such as a carpet and a handbag, depicting two men, which were inspired by photographs by Wilhelm von Gloeden. The German photographer became notoriously known especially for his pictures of naked Sicilian boys reminiscent of ancient Greece and Rome.
You can view the entire luxurious collection, which includes cute wallets with pendants in the form of little mice or tiny leather boxes in our photo gallery.
