Deluxe Elie Saab FW 18/19: Classic black with a drop of magnificent glitter
Following in the steps of Alexander McQueen
The fashion show was opened by the song Come As You Are by the popular band Nirvana, performed by the Vitamin String Quartet, similarly to the deluxe show by Alexander McQueen precisely 10 years ago. Other songs that could be heard during the show were those by Radiohead or Dita Von Teese. The perfectly chosen music enhanced the overall ambiance and the show met the high standard we are used to from Elie Saab.

The deluxe FW 18/19 collection is in the spirit of black elegance
Even though most of the collection was classic black it was certainly not boring. The black monotones were disrupted by bright glitter, coloured applications and patterns and also brighter shades here and there: lilac, wine red, teal, dark green, white, powder pink, red or blue.

It is unbelievable what this brand is capable of creating. And you will also find several items in the autumn collection that will make you breathless. The combination of mini, maxi, high splits, turtle-necks, transparent fabrics, distinctive applications and puffy skirts is simply brilliant.

The ladies’ top hats in the style of Moulin Rouge, which are sensual, feminine, elegant and particularly something we have not seen for some time in world collections, were excellent items from the FW 18/19 collection. Finally some models that every woman will desire!
The culmination of Paris Fashion Week? Definitely the collection by Elie Saab! To tell you the truth, I had to see this collection several times.....
First of all I would like to mention the men’s style black suit with a deeper neckline and an ostrich boa. Of course it would be suited for wearing during the day without the ostrich feathers, but it is also ideal as a pleasant item to wear in the evening. I like the sense of dramatic attraction and the simultaneous mystery of the unknown. The only thing I would be wary of is the longer sequinned scarf. If you forget about it and step on it with your pumps under the table, you’d find yourself knocking yourself hard!
And of course I mustn’t forget the wide multi-functional belts reminiscent of corsets from the 19th century. As you can see they are excellent at narrowing the waist in both dresses and coats (MUST HAVE). And then the absolute pleasure of the black mini dress without any cleavage showing, which is again embellished by ostrich feathers. We can see these feathers at the breast and the skirt and also around the wrists. Combined with those sexy boots and the subtle net on the head, it is absolutely PERFECT! My God this is exactly the model that would make you into the star of the evening, even without showing any cleavage. I love this!!! Hey, I think someone has chosen what to wear to the IFF KV!
