Whoever is not interested in the fascinating entomology and is more romantically oriented can visit the 19th century Baba ruins.
After 1848, the cadastral municipalities of Lysolaje and Sedlec along with the settlement Podbaba formed the local area.

This luxury location boasts a new railway stop since 2013, or an unconventional road layout, especially for buses. These must fit into the so-called "little tunnel", a demanding turn alomg the rock overhang, which requires a substantial amount of skill.
The enormous advantage of this locality is the possibility of doing sports activities or simply taking beautiful walks along the Vltava river. Thanks to the ferry you can easily reach the other bank, where there is a cycle route and a inline skating track.
Podbaba also houses the T. G. Masaryk Water Research Institute, located by the river.
