Luxury skyscrapers in New York, Chicago, Baku, Istanbul, etc. boast his name. All of them combine the wealth of a wealthy tycoon with the eloquent names of architects and companies involved in construction. Each of them is the original in its world of high-rise buildings. They do not have the ambition to become the tallest buildings, but rather to catch your attention by their unusual façades, their luxurious interiors and their top-class service.
The Trump Tower in New York stands on lucrative 5th Avenue and was built by the investor between 1979 and 1983. Its value was estimated at USD 318 million in 2006 by Forbes Magazine. The project work was entrusted to the architect D. Scutt from the Swanke Company. It is a 202 metre tall multifunctional building with 58 floors. In 2017, it became the refuge for the President’s family for a short time, while the journalists renamed it as the “White House of the North”.
Another building, i.e. the Trump International Hotel and Tower, is located on the river in Chicago and it was built between 2005 and 2009 as a residential and luxury apartment building, with a hotel and restaurants. Up to the 12th floor there are commercial spaces and garages, and above them there are wellness and spa, spaces for the relaxation of soul and body.
We can also mention the Trump World Tower, a high-rise, dark-glass building that has also been chosen by such celebrities as Sophia Loren (on the 58th floor) and Naomi Campbell (on the 35th floor). Designed by Polish architect Marta Rudzka of Costas Kondylis & Partners, LLP Architects it honours its 262 metres and it was completed in 2001.
