What do child movie stars look like today?
Child stars – that is a very interesting category of movie stars. They enjoyed luxury, money, and showbusiness from a young age, but later, their fame faded somewhat or they have completely left the scene. Read about three child actors whose film careers did not really carry on into adulthood.
Macaulay Culkin
Probably the world’s most widely known child star. He became famous through the luxury comedy Home Alone, followed by the sequel Home Alone 2, which took place in New York. As a child, Culkin had everything – fame, money, actor friends… He even found a star girlfriend: the Ukrainian actress Mila Kunis. But their relationship fell apart after a few years. One of the reasons perhaps being that Macaulay was fond of alcohol and, as it seems, also drugs. The cute blond boy has turned into a worn-out, shabby young fellow whose appearance was rather appalling. Recently, however, photographs have appeared in which Mac looks good again. So perhaps he will get back into filming and we will see him in another blockbuster.
Haley Joel Osment
He was nominated for Oscars for his role as Cole in the luxury movie The Sixth Sense, where he played with Bruce Willis. This made him the youngest nominee for the prestigious Film Academy Award. Unfortunately, he did not do much to develop his acting talent. He appeared in several other films, but his acting performance made no lasting impression on viewers. Nevertheless, the former child star does theatre and still stars in films.
Angus Turner Jones
This young man became famous in the luxury TV series Two and a Half Men, where he played a nephew to Charlie Sheen. At one point, he was the best-paid child TV star, making some USD 350,000 per episode, which usually took one or two days to film. He stared in several movies, as well, but that never won him fame. Everyone remembers him as fat dumb Jake from Two and a Half Men. A few years ago, he turned to God and called Two and a Half Men rubbish; nevertheless, he turned around several months ago and returned to filming.
