Hana Vagnerova

Czech actress Hana Vagnerová revealed to us the recipe for a happy long-distance relationship. She shared her experiences in an Italian film at a time when she could not yet speak the language. How she manages singing, what luxury means to her, and how she will spend Christmas.

Hana Vagnerová

Do you have a long-distance relationship with your boyfriend, what's your recipe to make it work?

The basis is that these people like each other, and it suits both of them, because at the moment when one is unhappy, it can never work when one longs for an everyday relationship.

And then communication, which needs to be especially intelligent and profound.

You have recently filmed a movie about four women, what role do you play and when will we see it?

This movie will be in cinemas next year, I think in the summer. It's inspired by the Danish film Druk, which is absolutely amazing. However, this story is not about four friends, but about four girlfriends. I play there, Zea and Judit Bárdos plays there too, and above all, Zuzana Bydžovská plays there, who is an acting icon for me.

Have you played in an Italian movie, what was it like?

It was amazing, I have an agent in Italy, so I finally learned Italian, which took me quite a long time. I go for castings, but I shot this film about a year ago, when my Italian wasn't yet perfect, so I have to say it was a very intense experience, because acting in a language you don't feel you fully master, there's improvisation on the set and you have to respond to it, so it was challenging, but I

I absolutely adore Italian cinematography, so I'm glad that something like this happened.

We could see you in an improvisational show on Nova recently. Is improvisation close to you?

I think improvisation is not an easy discipline at all. It may seem that way, but then when you stand next to a matador like Ondřej Sokol, you find out that it's not that much fun and it's no wonder it's studied and studied for example in LA, those are very difficult schools.

For me, it's still a largely unexplored discipline, but especially here at this show it was great.

We laughed a lot and all the amazing actors were there, and there was Ondřej Sokol, who is a king.

What awaits you in the near future?

I am scheduled to shoot a film in the spring. We are also preparing two projects with Tomasz Wiński, with whom we made Hranice lásky. We have two scripts written and are now in the phase of raising money, so if anyone would like to give us some money, (laughs) feel free to send it.

We are at the Czech Nightingales, how are you doing with singing?

Look, I love to sing but others usually do not appreciate when I sing. At least that's what I was told at school, so I sing alone in the shower.

What outfit are you wearing and what preparations were there?

I wear an Elie Saab dress from Obsession Store and Aurum jewelry.

Otherwise, I like to say that I have no idea what preparations you are talking about because this is how I woke up, this is how I go and this is how I always look (laughs).

What does luxury mean to you?

Luxury for me means quality. This means for me having free time and not having to stress about something. That's luxury for me, but then of course diamonds are diamonds.

How will you spend Christmas?

I will be with our family and then go to France to see my boyfriend.
