I found a sad thing on social media. More like a story. It probably isn't a surprise that more than a half of marriages end in divorce these days. That many fathers do not pay child support, that they do not even care about them, they aren't involved. But it is sad that they then put on a T-shirt with the words Family First to snag a cushy spot in their political party even though they were never interested in their only child. Not surprising, but sad...
I feel sorry for the girl who shared the information on social networks, Kateřina Klímová. Her father's name is Pavel Kříž, he is running for the Liberec region.
The man who has never been here for me when I needed him and never did anything but hurt me is wearing a T-shirt with the words Family First.
The man who is not ashamed to lie and delete his daughter's comments because she is ruining his election campaign with the truth is wearing a T-shirt with the words Family First.
The man who has not seen his only child in twelve years, does not know his son-in-law or grandson, wears a T-shirt with the words Family First.
The man who writes nothing but "oh my oh my oh my" to his daughter when she announces that he is getting married, instead of congratulations or wishes of happiness or something, is wearing a T-shirt with the words Family First.
The man who, in his own words, banged a neighbor, but that's chill, because her idiot husband thinks it's his, is wearing a T-shirt with the words Family First.
The man who doesn't care that his daughter cried for years each time she saw a baking powder advertisement because the dad and daughter in it baked a cake together and she agonized over her dad not giving a damn about her, is wearing a T-shirt with the words Family First.
The man who said that I was his biggest mistake of his life, because I wanted to continue studying, which meant he'd have to continue paying child support, money for which he'd already managed to squander on drinks to celebrate that he finally got rid of it, is wearing a T-shirt with the words Family First.
You know, today you can say a lot of things with a stupid T-shirt. Lots of untruths, half-truths, lies. I don't know the gentleman or his daughter personally, yet I was deeply moved. Many of my friends grew up without a father. Children from single-parent families may seem fine, but they are not. The second role model is simply missing in their life, and sooner or later, usually when told by a psychologist, you will find that you did miss out on that. Every little girl needs her dad to blow on her scraped knee, or to have him clap at her first ballet performance. And I believe that if Dad doesn't give a damn about you all his life, and you find out about THIS, it must hurt. How he brags, how he pretends that he is a good person, he'll do a flip if needed, all that only for money.
In the comments, the young lady receives words of support, but was also badly chastised for airing out her dirty laundry. Her dad no longer comments, deleted all public comments and then blocked her. How simple, just one click and you block a person, a daughter, forever. In my opinion, it took no longer to create her than that one click did. Banging your neighbor is not that difficult. But it is difficult to make a quality person out of a child. That will take work, which this gentleman wasn't there for. But he wants to be at the forefront of Czech politics, a better future for all citizens in this country... Strange, when he didn't manage, didn't want to dedicate that time to his own child...
Are you going to the polls? I am. I think everyone with the right to vote should go. To do something for our country, at least for us. We should think about who we give it to, whether they share the same or at least similar values. Or if it's another person who just lies rolls over for a few crowns and a cushy office spot and says anything that sounds good.
