Christmas is one of the most beautiful holidays of the year. Love, joy and peace with friends and family are literally priceless. This magical time also brings along many traditions and customs. Some of us keep fasting in order to see a flying golden pig, while others are eating an apple before the Christmas dinner. However, we all certainly agree that since our childhood, we have associated Christmas with fairy tales - and we cannot imagine how it would be without them. Nevertheless, it is not different for our Czech celebrities who confided in us what Christmas traditions prevail in their homes and which fairy tale they will definitely not miss this year.
Christmas is literally knocking on the door and many of us cannot wait to sit around the dinner table with their family, loved ones or friends on the Christmas Eve. The actor and singer David Kraus told us that this moment with his family is the most precious for him.
"For us, the most important Christmas tradition is that the whole family gets together at the dinner table. Evening with the loved ones is actually very special for us and at the same time our common gift,"
told us the singer, who also traditionally watches the well-known Czech fairy tale Three Wishes for Cinderella or the classic fairy tale Jack Frost.
Although it is said that health is the greatest gift and many of us realize it day after day, a gift box wrapped in a brightly colored paper with a bow simply belongs underneath the Christmas tree.
"Our tradition is to quickly unwrap gifts. As for my favorite Christmas fairy tale, I love Christmas Carol - an animated Christmas carol with scary music,"
The Czech actress and holder of the prestigious Czech Lion award Lenka Krobotová will spend this Christmas together with her family in a cottage in Jeseníky mountains. She also prepares the classic Christmas Eve dinner.
"For long time after dinner we sit together at the dinner table and talk and sing carols. This is followed by a common "quest for the Christ Child". With the kids we run around the cottage in various ways and I have to admit it is a drama sometimes,"
"When it comes to the fairy tales, of course, there are many of my favourites, but I really like, for example, "There was once a King" with Jan Werich,"
Mikolas Josef, who is currently one of the biggest stars of the Czech pop music, is also looking forward to the Christmas Eve.
LP-life.cz wishes all the Czech stars and their loved ones Merry Christmas, to spend this beautiful season in health, peace and love.
