Will she outdo herself?

We were met by proven classics by the designer and former member of the Spice Girls group at the London Fashion Week. The catwalk was dominated by Victoria Beckham‘s emblamatic minimalism and luxury elegance in the form of outfits, blouses, mini skirts, overcoats, jackets and woolen sweaters with shirts. The bar that Victoria had set is constantly at high. The question remains, if anyone can ever surpass it…

‚For the autumn and winter collection 2019 I thought about what women want, about modern feminity, and about how to transfer these ideas into the contemporary day collection.‘ Victoria Beckham

You can really get a sense of modern feminity from the luxury collection. Every one of the outfits tells its own story, and every one of its models seem to show confidence and emancipation. Victoria Beckham decided to use softer and more comfortable materials for her FW 19/20 collection, in hoping they would provide greater comfort, but at the same time let them feel free. What do you think, did she fulfil that goal?

Geomatric shapes: A step in the right direction

The outfits that Victoria Beckham brings to the cat walk on world fashion weeks are regularly well conceived. However, each collection has us experiencing the same feelings, and we desperately long for some sort of change, which would help the designer to set off from the common laid track. A proven classic is classics, however even it starts being a bore after some time.

An interesting change of the luxury FW 19/20 had become geometric or even other graphics, which decorated all product categories of the collection. You will find them on oversize blouses, on chique overcoats with an uncommon day clasp around the chest, tops or on casual sleeveless dresses. Is that enough, though?

The queen of London minimalism, Victoria Beckham

The designer has once again proved, that she’s evolving with each collection, and she’s not looking back. This time she truly surprised, due to her knack for mixing a variety of different patterns and materials…

First, I’d like to start with the pros. I really like the classic style of the overcoat made from a luxuriously looking blue boucle interlaced with red silk threading á la Chanel. Especially, the clasp over both shoulder, which allows you to wear the coat even without the sleeves, ingenious!!! We all know that hassle, when after a few moments of wearing a jacket or an onvercoat, it starts sliding off the shoulders. And concerning the inside of the outfit, I’ve found no fault. A perfect outfit for a bussinesswomen with an ultra busy programme, (only the smurf boots I’d rather refrain from wearing).

And for the end a bit of chaos. The chequered shirt with a collar from the 70’s, the rhombus checker mohair sweater, the tweed skirt, and all complemented with leopard boots with an open front. Sorry, but here Victoria is probably pulling my leg! For me, it’s the greatest blunder of the show.
