Designers who have made our list of the worst are the ones who suffer from an overexcited fantasy, or a lack of talent. Otherwise, we really can’t explain what happened. Who made our list of the TOP 10 worst outfits this time?! We chose a few outfits from each of the worst collections. Have a comfortable seat, and make sure to take a peek at the gallery below the article...
Our selection starts with the brand Laurence & Chico, who’s FW 19/20 collection will seem like the embodiment of all evil! What are its main characteristics? Frightening make up, strict-looking wigs and bizarre fashion creations. It’s time to be afraid!
The brand Gypsy Sport makes a very regular appearance at the NYFW, and so it also makes it regularly to our top list of the worst. In its case, however, it isn’t so much about ‘Don’t wear this’, but ‘Rather put something on’. Our eyes hurt!
Spring is around the corner, and the sight of light colours could have been a breath of fresh air, however it wasn’t such a success in the hands of the brand FEY MINORYANAGASE. The Japanese designer Minori Yanagase definitely didn’t strike a good chord with this one.
Outfits consisting of a balaclava and massive hands, which appeared at the Chenpeng fashion show reminded us involuntarily of the legendary Teletubbies. And therefore, they certainly can’t miss from our list of the worst. The only person who would voluntarily put on something like this, would have to be a staunch fan of the brand...
If you’re a fan of fantasies such as ‘Alice in Wonderland’, the collection by Laurence & Chico is made for you. But, be careful that you don’t end up tied to a bed in a madhouse after a while of wearing their outfits.
Furthermore, we have the brand Gypsy Sport. It’s as if they didn’t know who their target audience was supposed to be. One outfit seems like it should be for a drag queen, another one for a fat alien. I guess it’s time to call the Men in Black!
And where to place FEY MINORIYANAGASE?! Well, I think it’s obvious. That’s fashion made entirely for the activists of Prague Pride. A rainbow as far as the eye can see...
Now, let’s move on to the collection of Christian Cowan. As if it wanted to tell the sad story of pawnshops in Letná. A bunch of watches from a heist, or a sold costume of a prima ballerina with an addiction problem. There aren’t other stories, which would fit here....
At the end we have the ‘masterpiece’ by Chengpeng. This might be the saddest insanity of them all. Are you alone and nobody loves you? Then, we have a warm overall with a balaclava just for you! It’s too bad, that the yellow mitts don’t connect into a socket so that they would truly heat. (hahaha).
