Elon Musk's electric car, traveling through space with the Starman - a dummy in a spacesuit - behind the wheel, made its first flyby of Mars. A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket had launched the car into space nearly two years ago:

"Starman, last seen leaving Earth, made its first close approach with Mars today—within 0.05 astronomical units, or under 5 million miles, of the Red Planet."

And he won't be returning to Earth any time soon. The question remains: how will the conditions in deep space affect the car? After all, it was designed to operate on Earth. The roadster has cargo on board: its own miniature from Hot Wheels with a little Starman inside, as well as the iconic sci-fi novels The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams and Isaac Asimov's Foundation series.

British actor Orlando Bloom really enjoys the role of a new father. During his last appearance in the Ellen DeGeneres Show, he joked that he didn't even know who his daughter looked like.

"It was funny because when she first came out I was ‘Oh it’s me it’s a mini-me!' Then fortunately she got those Katy blues which was perfect,"

the actor described, but didn't stop there.

"She sort of looked a little bit like my mom so we got a little bit confused because Katy’s breastfeeding this mini-me slash my mom. Who’s she gonna look like next?"

That's all from us! Have a great weekend, everyone. Why not go out with your friends, even if, unfortunately, only until eight in the evening as of today? As former US President Woodrow Wilson said:

"Friendship is the only cement that will hold the world together."
