Until a few months ago, it looked like the 45th US President Donald Trump would remain in office in the years to come. His surprising loss to Joe Biden changed everything. Trump needed long weeks to start accepting the fact that he hadn't won the election. By the time he finally came to terms with it, he'd left chaos and wasteland behind, turning many people from his own ranks into his enemies. One of them is Republican Senator Mitch McConnell. Although he had defended Trump by voting against his impeachment, McConnell then expressed his opinion. According to his words, Trump should be held criminally liable for the things he did. McConnell believes he is morally responsible for the revolt in the Capitol. The reaction of the former American president was swift:
"Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again. The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political “leaders” like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm,"
said Trump, who would love to return to the White House in the next presidential election, according to surveys, currently has the support of most Republicans.
Czech shopping centres are getting ready to open on Monday

Nothing seems to be in the way of the opening up of retail stores on Monday, February 22nd. There is a consensus between the government and the opposition on this step - despite the fact that a few days ago, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and Interior Minister Jan Hamáček had insisted that the stores definitely wouldn't re-open in February. However, the Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček finally managed to push this plan through. The final confirmation of the opening of stores should come within the next few days at an extraordinary meeting of the government. Strict anti-epidemic measures should apply in shops. The limit of 15 square meters of operating space per customer and adherence to a two-meter distance between people still apply. A novelty is the obligation to wear FFP2 respirators for all employees in shopping centres.
"We are pleased to have agreed with the Minister on the rules that allow us to open up. We believe that if we lead by example and offer customers easy access to antigen tests and respirators in shopping malls, we can raise awareness and support the morale of a large group of fellow citizens who are our regular customers,"
said the chairman of the executive committee of the Association of Shopping Centers, Jan Kubíček.

The wife of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un appeared in public again after more than a year. Ri Sol-ju joined her husband in attending a concert yesterday on the occasion of commemorating the birthday of Kim's late father and former leader Kim Jong-il. Ri Sol-ju regularly accompanied her husband at public events in the past, but no one has seen her since January last year. Her absence has sparked speculation about her health or possible pregnancy. Yesterday, South Korea's national intelligence service claimed that Ms. Ri was avoiding public appearances mainly because of concerns about the COVID-19 epidemic - despite the fact that North Korea has not officially confirmed any cases of the disease in its territory.
Netflix has completed an animated series from the world of Dota 2

One of the all-time popular multiplayer computer games, Dota 2, will get its own animated series. Netflix continues to focus on animated content. The streaming site has already released a finished trailer for the long-awaited series from the world of Dota. The series, called Dota: Dragon's Blood, is expected to be a great success, given the immense popularity of this competitive game, enjoyed by millions of players around the world. So far, Netflix has announced that the series will have eight episodes and was created in close collaboration with the game's publisher, Valve. The extensive fantasy series will tell the story of Davion, a famous Dragon Knight. Dota: Dragon's Blood will arrive on Netflix on March 25 this year.
Hublot introduced a watch for football fans

The luxury Swiss watch company Hublot has prepared a surprise for football fans. Especially fans of the British top Premier League competition. A limited edition of as little as 200 Big Bang e watches has been produced. The watches will be linked to the Hublot Loves Football mobile application, aiming to bring football fans closer to the current events on football pitches. The Titanium smartwatch alerts its owner to the start times of matches, goals, substitutions, yellow and red cards, settings, lineups, or decisions taken by video referees. Once the match of one's favourite football club is over, the watch will start a countdown to the next match. The watch comes with a textile strap in a significant purple colour, but it's possible to switch it for a different one. A light composite version of this watch will be worn by Premier League judges. This edition will be equipped with technology that signals whether the soccer ball has crossed the goal line. The Big Bang e Premier League watch is available for the amount of 5,200 US dollars (approximately 111,000 Czech crowns).
