Luxurious Japanese and Bohemian style by Anna Sui in the SS19 collection
A collection inspired by the 1955 film Kismet Anna Sui, fashion designer of the same name brand, sought inspiration for the SS19 collection in her favorite film Kismet from 1955, based on a book. And one single scene awoke in her the idea of a new collection she wanted to make interesting, attractive and, of course, wearable and feminine. And that's what she did.

Sparkling fabrics, interesting Japanese patterns and other details
Anna created a real pop-up shop in the middle of the catwalk, which was overflowing with things from her favorite manufacturers. The models came from different directions and moved around before they came directly to the pop-up. It was obvious from the outfits that the designer had perfectly played with the SS19 collection. It mixes several styles, but most of them are Japanese and bohemian. The show was opened by the beautiful Gigi Hadid in a magical black dress with red flowers in which she looked like a lovely Japanese princess.
The floral pattern, however, is not the only thing that luxury collection offers. Glittering fabrics reminiscent of fairy-tale mermaids or Hawaiian dresses, nylon overalls and, of course, the beloved brocades. The silhouettes of luxury outfits are beautifully tight on the body, as well as loose and comfortable.
Cuts that will catch your eye
In addition to exciting designs, the collection also offers luxurious cuts and combinations to be appreciated by every modern woman. You will find elegant dresses, luxurious skirts, but also short tops, jackets and blazers. Only the most daring will choose the bared tummy. Short swim tops or crop tops are adorned with an adorable pattern with frills that we can perfectly imagine at the beach somewhere in Hawaii.
A hat or scarf around the head?
Recently, head accessories are very popular and Anna Sui sticks to it, too. There were several trendy hats and scarves to be seen at the show that are inherent to the spring and summer days.

Be the brightest star of the evening!
The at first glance inconspicuous Anna Sui once again surpassed all expectations of those who were awaiting her new collection. Whether its main inspiration was the film "Kismet" or the fairy tale "The Little Mermaid", the result is simply a luxurious collection with a significant touch of the orient.
I was perhaps most struck by the golden dress embellished with starfish and shells that Gigi Hadid wore. They are so glamorous that they remind me of the glow of sunrise, a really great piece of work! I would only exchange the cognac sneakers, which are now a big hit with dresses, for sandals or boots. And the "Elvis" style hairdo? For me, why not!
Finally, I would also like to mention the forget-me-not blue set, which is decorated from bottom to top with about one billion sequins. A lot has changed since "Saturday Night Fever", however, this is absolutely perfect for dancing in one of the luxury clubs in Saint-Tropez! Each of us wants to be the brightest star of the night. And wearing this you will be.
